The media has tried to spin this as another classic story of a “deceived” cis man coming back for “revenge.” This isn’t what happened. A friend of Angel’s tells the story as she heard it.

  I’d really love to come up with a solid means to turn the deception meme around so that cis folks can’t wiggle out of it. I mean, we’re deceived to trust cis folks who then harm us on a regular basis–and that is the news.

  Thanks for posting. I think her emphasis on safety and self-defense preparedness is absolutely critical. It’s fucked, but necessary. This story is really, really sad and I wonder how Angel’s medical expenses are being paid.
